This weekend, Val and I travelled to the Isle of Skye, which is often touted as one of the most beautiful places in the U.K., if not the world. It was a bit of a whimsical trip, but we decided that we were going to make the best of the three day weekends that I'm getting by working a 9 day, 80 hour schedule. So, Thursday afternoon, we made a mad rush of calling every B&B we could find, trying to book rooms for Friday and Saturday night. We finally settled on the Moorfield House in Dunvegan. There has never really been any vacation in my life where I have been truly taken back by the scenery. I've been on vacations to scenic places, but it's never been where there is something breathtaking literally around every corner. CastleRedIvy.JPG PrisonRock.JPG Sunset.JPG PrisonView.JPG OldMan.JPG Val dragged my sorry tail up a couple of mountains, far FAR beyond where I wanted to (or thought I could) go, and on both occasions, I was thankful for it. All of the pictures above (except for the first one) are either ones of the hikes we took, or views from them. I wish that I could post more, but blogger won't let me. But I will be getting a flikr account soon to share everything I can. Love all around,

Gorgeous!

I thought of you this morning, driving to work, seeing the sunrise - a big orange ball, reddening the sky.

Of course, no mountains or lochs here.

Love you,

MOM

Yup, all mine.

Why is it called the old man? Wow! Those pictures look fake. I can't believe you guys are really across the world. Wow...just beautiful. I'm glad that you are taking Val on "vacations" like that.
Love you
Beth
