...a month later. And a busy month it has been. Here's an update on recent activities: - I have joined band. I play percussion, and have learned that I can't count. (Wendy, be proud, although alas, I cannot yet play 4-mallet marimbas or anything) - I am probably going to graduate. There is a requirement by my department that we have to take a national engineering intern test in order to get a diploma, for which Val and I failed to sign up for. We appealed to the dean of engineering, and begged for mercy. It'll probably be all right. We'll find out soon enough. - I now have a shaved head. I helped out with a disciple now this weekend, and was assigned the middle school group, who were so ADD that I had to bribe them to get them to shut up. It worked, and I am now bald. Pics to come soon, hopefully. - In that retreat this weekend, I have had a lot to think about regarding our culture today, and how messed up our society is going to be in a few years if we don't do something quick. It was literally scary and in some cases, infuriating. I'll post more on this later. - I've also been really frustrated with the Webboard lately. I've still been reading, but not posting so much, since there are few topics where I feel I haven't covered the same ground fifty times over, or that the people that I want to discuss with will do so in a rational and non-inflammatory manner. I may just take up writing....or blogging for that matter. - The next two months are going to be even more nuts than the last one, so beware. - Sometime before we start work, I'm going to try to take Val to Ireland for a real honeymoon. - We still don't know what's going on for St. Pats or Spring Break. We may go visiting family, or Houston, or someplace else. We'll see. That's what's up. More details to come. Love all around.

Hey, about 10 wks to go! That engineering test... sounds like dreams I used to have where I realize that I haven't attended a class all year and don't realize it til finals and then panic. You'd think your advisors might have told you! I know what you mean about the webboard (I still lurk). I keep waiting for someone to say "Jane you ignorant slut!" (that's an old SNL quote from a skit with Dan Akroyd and Jane Curtain, where they debate some current event and it always deteriorates to this line) Who's Roy G Biv, I think I've heard of him? If you're the drummer, be sure to wear sunglasses and remember...."Slow down, it's a ballad!" I can't imagine you bald, although be sure to take some pictures. It might be what you'll look like in about 30 years.

Love you both!

Sometimes it is life's little details that will trip you up. I am surprised that you missed the test. Of course, I have to keep reminding myself that you are only seventeen percent melancholy. What are the options or alternates to taking the test?

On another note. I have switched to Mozilla Firefox as my browser. You should try it. I have also changed to Google Mail. Man, it is great!

Talk to you soon,

Dad

Hey, glad you two get to graduate! Whew! Hannah and I watched Oliver the other day and I thought of you. My favorite songs are the ones Fagan sings. I can still see you wiggling your fingers and reviewing the situation. When is your Spring Break? Did you get your taxes done? Call me if you need any help with it.
Love you both
