My attempt at posting in such a manner that makes some small instance in life look horribly interesting: The church that I typically attend had a breakfast for the college class this morning before sunday school. Free food + college = good. My table is sitting around, having a good time, when one of the putter-onners of the breakfast starts going around to all of the tables with his digital camera. I quietly announced "camera coming," mostly for my wife, who despises having her picture taken. I wasn't too horribly excited about the prospect either, as I had no idea who the guy was. Evidenly my announcement was appropriate, because three quarters of the table immediately began in the same style of seemingly innocent face covering, intent plate staring, and hair arranging. It was quite clear that nobody wanted their picture taken. The strange man proceeded to get two angles per table, coming to ours last. One girl strategically dropped her fork on the floor just as he was lining up the shot, and stayed under the table until the flash went off. He another angle right behind me, with more ad lib turning and avoiding of the shot. Then came the strange part. I heard an amused, slightly sadistic chuckle from the man as he passed close to me, setting up another shot from a third angle. This man was enjoying all the groaning and squirming that he was causing the table! It was twisted. The final, and most abhorrent act came as he was setting up for his FOURTH shot. He pretended to take the picture, and then said "Whoops, out of card," and proceeded to walk away. After about three steps, he quickly turned around and clicked another shot, saying "No I'm not!" This cruel and unusual set of events made me quite leery about going back to the buffet for more french toast.

Just some random theological thoughts....
Given Total Depravity, why would you look for truth, beauty, goodness, etc. from anyone but elected artists(thoughts after reading the threads on the Webboard).
Along the same line, from Matt 7:21-23, given total depravity, why would anyone be prophesying or driving out demons, or calling Jesus Lord if they were not elect?

Just curious how the Calvinists explain it.
