Just to warn anyone that reads this, I don't have any sort of point to this post. It is simply going to consist of ramblings of late.
Okay, I finally did get out of the radio station for a couple of days. Wow that was a long weekend.
I found
a blog post that I love. It reminds me too much of me. (Ask Val sometime about Peanut Butter Cookies sans recipie)
Pete's blog is slowly forming into everything that I expected it to be. I am expectant no longer. We've been talking lots lately about all sorts of things. Wendy, I know you're curious about his beliefs, and I'll admit he's a bit unorthodox, but I assure you, everything he holds (albeit loosely) is quite well thought out.
Here and
here are two good threads where we get into all sorts of fun stuff.
Subaru's new slogan under Lance Armstrong's endorsement is "Driven by what's inside." Isn't everything?
I just got
Dead Poetic's new CD, entitled "New Medicines" (
promo site), and love every bit of it. I am noticing, however, that many of the bands that I like, including P.O.D. and Blindside are, on every new record, making one 'radio friendly' single, knowing that the majority of the public will not like the new-metal/screamo style that the majority of their stuff actually is. The good part is that the 'tame' radio singles are edgier (is that a word?) and all around better than the typical bands, whose material is 98% radio friendly, but try to mix in a bit of the metal sound that is slowly being mixed into popular music. Hearing Blindside do pop is much more tolerable than hearing the Backstreet Boys do metal.
I recently realised that I have about three weeks of summer left after we get back from vacation next week. It has gone by far too fast, as do most of the enjoyable stages in our lives.
Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour tohis life? And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies ofthe field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all thesethings will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

I'm curious if anyone notices all the little minute changes in the HTML on this site. I find it horribly interesting, but at the same time incredibly insignificant when I show someone saying "See? Look, I moved this margin over 6 pixels! Woohoo!!"
I found
Real Live Preacher dot com earlier today, linked from Daniel's (Punch like a Poet) blog. After three posts, I loved it and linked it.
So yeah...
