I was sitting here wondering why nobody has commented on anything that I have written of late, when I realised that all blogspot hosted blogs have been going spastic of late, and that perhaps some of you haven't the tenacity to hit 'refresh' the dozen or so times it takes to make the page load. So, my word to you today is "persist." We have finally made arrangements to be in Enid, OK from the 21st to the 27th of July, and will be staying at the Maple Place. Val and I have been doing not much more than work, both at the radio station, as well as at Landscaping. It's been a lot of fun doing semi-blue-collar work. It really is strange that we as people seem to register things that we are familiar with. When I worked at Mail Services, and drove for three hours every day, I noticed people's driving habits. When I worked at Fat and Skinnies, I noticed restaraunts' setups, and when the waiter wiped his nose. Working at KUMR has taught me to hear how many times people say "um" in everyday conversation, and landscaping has made me notice all manner of shrubs surrounding virtually every business everywhere and how well they are placed, trimmed, and watered. I have also been picking up my guitar a bit more lately, mostly due to the honor I have of singing and playing at my sister's wedding in a few weeks. I honor of this revival of my playing, I hereby post this link. I can only hope that one day I will be this good.
